Good interface, no big complaints except that it often fails to report delays, especially close to either end of a route (which may be the fault of the MBTA rather than the app) and that it's basically impossible to report a problem (disappearing buses, etc).Highly recommend if you are a bus rider in the area.

2. Have found it pretty accurate for minutes away in Somerville and Cambridge but during rush hours or construction it is good to switch to viewing the bus locations occasionally to see if they are stuck.

3. I couldn't imagine riding buses without having an updated real-time schedule.Simple and does what it is supposed to.

4. Instead it periodically updates the position of the bus only to be about 2-5 minutes behind where it really is.This is a very accurate and helpful app.

5. Definitely worth starring your frequently used stops.Wish it was more like life360, it doesn't update frequently enough.

6. You should be able to see the bus moving in the app in close to real time.

7. It would be better if there was a button so you could center the map on your current location.Consistently way off.

1. Fix BostonBusMap Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BostonBusMap: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BostonBusMap App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BostonBusMap" » Open BostonBusMap » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BostonBusMap » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BostonBusMap app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BostonBusMap servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BostonBusMap" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BostonBusMap app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BostonBusMap might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BostonBusMap. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BostonBusMap then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BostonBusMap not working
