Skullcandy Customer Insights

1. If you disconnect and reconnect your buds it fixes the issue, unless you open the app again.Its a very simple and straight forward app to use.... however, if I change the audio from podcast to music, music to movie, etc., My audio starts repeatedly cutting in and about like something you'd do as a kid with your hands over your ears in the elementary cafeteria.

2. However, if you open the app and connect your device (I have Indy ANC), it tends to create a 1-2 second delay on your audio, which is very noticeable and annoying when trying to watch TV or videos on your phone.

3. Sounds great! They are terrific but unfortunately the right side loses connection on a daily even when it says connected on the app and then it tells me that my earbuds are dead until I put them back into the case and take them out and it turns out it still has battery left.

4. It's just the app that doesn't workSo, regarding the pairing issue, you need to let the device be connected to your phone for a while.

5. The phone is put in a running pack around my waist and Voice command will not work.

6. The Crusher Evo's are great but they unfortunately come with garbage software.The app is handy because the user guide can be accessed there and you can experiment with the eq modes, ambient modes, etc.

7. Don't rely on this app for anything.App causes stuttering and skipping when changing between audio sources like going from videos on FB to listening to music.

8. Voice command will not work when I go for run when my running app and music app is playing.

9. They're connected to my phone via Bluetooth, but when I try to use the app to find my new device, it just tries and tries forever and never finds it.

10. Falls off all the time.App has a horrible user interface and many logical features have been taken away as they begin to heavily ignore the upkeep.

11. As for the actual headphones, they are great, I have the Crusher Evo headphones, and they are what I expected them to be.My IndyANC earbuds that I have.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Skullcandy Issues

1. Fix Skullcandy Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Skullcandy: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Skullcandy App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Skullcandy" » Open Skullcandy » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Skullcandy » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Skullcandy app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Skullcandy servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Skullcandy" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Skullcandy app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Skullcandy might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Skullcandy. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Skullcandy then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Skullcandy not working


2. Fix Skullcandy Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Skullcandy be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Skullcandy not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Skullcandy may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
