1. In settings you can choose when to use VoIP and when to make standard phone calls, based on being logged in to Wifi, and/or based on number prefixes. Visit sipdroid. org for more info.
2. For optimal battery usage reserve a free VoIP PBX on pbxes. org, and manage your SIP trunks using a web browser.
3. The app routes calls dialed from your phone's built-in contacts app to VoIP.
4. Being open source, Sipdroid has often been cloned appearing under names such as Guava, aSIP, Fritz! App, ...
1. The app gives me the option to dial a contact either from my cell phone or through my VoIP via the app - very cool! However, I have to subtract 3 stars because on the latest version which I installed there is no keypad, and all the other tabs for call Log, contacts, and groups are also missing.
2. Had to return back to ZoiPer.The UI needs improvements, like dark mode ( preferably White text over Black background), or any theme without GrayJust a note that after upgrading to Android 13 the app no longer displays correctly, but only part of the screen is displayed at the top left corner of the screen.
3. I do also get comments that the audio is very quiet from people who I call, even with the older Android 12.
4. It will route any call you make through a voip, even if my regular phone would serve better.
5. When I try to make a call using the phone's default, this app kicks in instead.
6. The only way to make a phone call, thru the default, is to remove the app.Buggy at times.
7. CSipSimple, which can't be installed any more, gave you interactively the choice of carrier at the time of a call.
8. The earpiece is good as I have checked it using the phone SIM.
9. Mid call will rub on your cheek and you'll press things bc you can't use a loudspeaker.
10. Thanks dev! Stay safe and keep up the great work!Overall I find this a reasonably good app.
11. The only downside is since the last update I can't use my ear piece as it doesn't work anymore.
