About CloudLocker

1. Please be sure to read the Personal Data Collection policy when you start the app for the first time. - For the optimal functioning of CloudLocker, you must allow access to Device Administrator, Accessibility, and VPN. - CloudLocker should only be installed by the phone owner. - disable-camera - Controls whether or not the camera is allowed on your device. - force-lock - Used to lock the phone after attempts to bypass the locker. - wipe-data - Used to wipe the phone on an unauthorized removal attempt.

2. CloudLocker will also attempt to collect your device's phone number, list of installed apps, and time spent in apps to assist with managing installed apps and providing usage accountability.

3. This app uses Accessibility service to know when an app is launched. - This is used to assist individuals with impulse control disorders and for parental device control. - Once the app is configured, it will protect the user from opening undesired apps.

4. This app uses the Android VPN service to enforce safe-search within some apps and block adult content in others. - Performs content filtering.

5. In other cases, we perform URL or actual content filtering. - Traffic over the VPN is encrypted to our filtering network. - This app may have access to personal data.

6. Once you have activated the device administration functionality, you will need your CloudLocker password to disable it without wiping your device.

7. Where it is inspected, we do not log data that would identify you or your device. - The application itself logs some data on traffic.

8. None of this data is shared with others. - The VPN traffic will pass through our filtering server.

9. Please be aware that on some devices, your blocked apps will not appear in the launcher.

10. You will need to uninstall CloudLocker for them to show up again.

1. Thanks to the developers for their work!It slows the phone down tremendously! It blocks 96% of all apps on the the play store.. although lately it has been getting harder to get around this filter which is the purpose of it but nonetheless it is lacking pretty severelyThe app works well for the most part, my main problem Is when you touch any locked app it freezes the whole phone up for some minutes.

2. I wish there was a way to look up images but filter out anything inappropriate.Please download this app if you have no self control and frequently access bad content on your phone! Definitely don't exercise self control tho!🙂 But freal tho, I'm constantly am getting notifications that the cloudveil app is overloading my phone's system and it needs to be shut down.

3. My phone is so slow and the stupidest websites are blocked such as a dog trainer site I was trying to access!I am using the global filter for Android and so far it's working very good for me.

6. I have the first gen google Pixel so other devices may not have this problem.I tapped the wrong thing and my phone was unusable until I restarted it.

7. It seems to slow my phone down quite a bit, which can be dealt with, but one thing that is frustrating is the fact that a person can't even look up any images whatsoever.

8. This app does exactly what its supposed to! It will occasionally have a few bugs for me but a quick email to cloudveil support and they always answer and are very helpful! And I've never come away without eventually getting it resolved satisfactorily.

9. I do have an older phone so thats probably where all the performance issues come from, still, Cloudlocker sometimes does things that don't make a lot of sense.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CloudLocker Issues

1. Fix CloudLocker Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CloudLocker: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CloudLocker App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CloudLocker" » Open CloudLocker » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CloudLocker » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CloudLocker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CloudLocker servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CloudLocker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CloudLocker app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CloudLocker might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CloudLocker. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CloudLocker then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CloudLocker not working


2. Fix CloudLocker Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CloudLocker be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CloudLocker not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CloudLocker may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
