iGeology Customer Insights

1. Using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and a Galaxy J7.After Google forcibly "updated" the phone to Android 9, iGeology crashes when tapped.

2. Later updates fixed it, now works againWhilst this app will show me the geology at my house, the search facility is awful and apparently works only on Geological timescales.

3. Using 2019 samsung A71.Used to be really helpful when quickly trying to find out the local geology whilst out on site.

4. pretty colours, but that's about it.App running on android 7.0 on an Xperia now crashes when I try to click on location point.

5. Maybe 1990s server? Base map really hard to read through overlays thus hard to tell where you are on map.Very good data, of course.

6. You can try and open the viewer from the bgs website but it won't scale down for mobile devices so is pretty useless in the field.Brilliant app in principle but very notchy to use.

7. Not 5* as cannot readily predownload maps for use offline - strange for an app particularly likely to be used in low mobile coverage areas.Used to be great.

8. Loads very slowly zooming often doesn't work - total reload of map which may or may not happen.

9. great idea, but doesn't really work in my experience.

10. However it now crashes and closes down as soon as I click a strata.

11. Doesn't run properly on latest versions of Android.
