1. Why does it need to randomly run in the background? You draw your own conclusions.A real great compass!!! Easy installation very fast, and I didn't have to calibrate it right from the start.

1. Fix Compass & Altimeter Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Compass & Altimeter: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Compass & Altimeter App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Compass & Altimeter" » Open Compass & Altimeter » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Compass & Altimeter » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Compass & Altimeter app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Compass & Altimeter servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Compass & Altimeter" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Compass & Altimeter app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Compass & Altimeter might not work.
