ev.energy Customer Insights

1. I wish I hadn't chosen sync ev charger as this is the only app I can use and it doesn't work!Using our solar, storage battery is full and not a cloud in the sky and still the charger is pulling power in from the grid.

2. Reported multiple times that the solar only function doesn't turn on during the day when house solar panels producing 0.8-2.8kwh. Customer support are ok at replying but the situation hasn't changed over last 6 month.

3. There is a smart setting that will have your car 'ready by' but has no other options, i don't want the 'smart' turned on but would like to be able to stop my car charging if I want via the app, or a timer.

4. The ONLY thing I would want is remote control which you've guessed it isn't present though fiddling with the smart feature and timings could sort of effect the same if only the thing stayed connected which it doesn't.

5. Not so smart charging.Jury's still out on the app as I've only just got it to complete a smart charge but customer support is superb Immediate response from emails sent.

6. Also, they want me to pay £5 a month to use the solar setting! Wish I hadn't got my electrician to install this charger and app, wish I'd done more research firstTerrible app.

7. Not a 'smart' charger.Geberally unreliable when using paid for Solar feature.

8. My car is probably not alone in not tolerating something else controlling power so any attempt to use the so-called Smart Charge mode results in the car flashing three lights (meaning error of some sort) and giving up up.

9. And, they want £5 a month to use the solar feature, which is pretty useless anyway! Get the Hypervolt charger and app it's 10 times better. This is not a great charger or app :( I have 2 EVs and switching between them is a faff.

10. Shows as not charging when it is changing, doesn't show recent charges (but it shows from a few weeks ago).

11. Not remotely Smart! Don't ever buy a product with this tripe software built in!Doesn't work properly.
