1. Response to reply: I am always 'closing' the app as suggested in the response from DR, but the app stays active on the lock screen more than 50% of the time and keeps draining the battery.It is not unheard of that the just lose connection.

2. Can't even see the title of what is playing, just the category e.g. "Radio play"???? Why? Can't save anything without having to create an online account 😠 (No, I do NOT want to create an online account just to do basic listening!!).

3. I have previously used the app and been happy about it but after the latest update the app pause frequently with random time interval and length when the screen is not active and sometimes just stop the live program or podcast.

4. Draining ALOT of battery and messing up progress in podcasts.I just updated the app and neither before nor now can I listen to the live programs :(Half the time it doesn't play.

5. Firstly when closing the app it mostly stops playing the music / radio as intented, however at times it will randomly start playing again after sometime requiring a full shutdown of the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix DR LYD Issues

1. Fix DR LYD Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart DR LYD: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the DR LYD App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DR LYD" » Open DR LYD » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DR LYD » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear DR LYD app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DR LYD servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DR LYD" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check DR LYD app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DR LYD might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall DR LYD. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DR LYD then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DR LYD not working


2. Fix DR LYD Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DR LYD be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DR LYD not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DR LYD may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
