1. Please fix asapIt's 20.01, about a month since other reviewers mentioned the problem, and still, the Mediathek app randomly opens as a default browser when clicking links that has nothing to do with it (I wasn't prompted to chose a default browser, it just randomly redirects to the hopepage of the app when clicking a link in an email in gmail, for example)I had been using the App for at least 2 years with no issues and with the latest update are faced with all the problems previous comment described (crashing, opening browser etc) .

2. Is this temporary? Oh, am using Android TV btw.Every link I click on in emails or messages takes me to this App, not to the browser on my device! I can watch TV, but every time I want to open a link from an email I have to copy and paste it into the browser because this app decides to try to open the link instead.

1. Fix ARD Mediathek Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart ARD Mediathek: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the ARD Mediathek App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ARD Mediathek" » Open ARD Mediathek » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ARD Mediathek » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear ARD Mediathek app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ARD Mediathek servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ARD Mediathek" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check ARD Mediathek app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ARD Mediathek might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall ARD Mediathek. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ARD Mediathek then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ARD Mediathek not working

2. Fix ARD Mediathek Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ARD Mediathek be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ARD Mediathek not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ARD Mediathek may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
