1. Otherwise it works great.5/2023: Adding the new world has been great and the additional levels (yet I'm only on 30) but I specifically had a shed in my backyard built for working out and Zwift.

2. For example, Zwift is running on a computer and opening the companion app (on starting the ride) does not switch over to in-game controls so you lose the ability to interact with other riders.

3. All this could be averted of those lazy folks at Zwoft would add support for Windows+Bluetooth, just like the people behind the Tacx Trainer application (for Windows 10) have.This app has been great! However, lately both my wife and I have noticed that the app will freeze mid ride.

5. Restarting the app, restarting the game, rebooting the phone, nothing works.

7. But why did you get rid of the pause in monthly payment? 1/2021: Unfortunately it sucks a lot of power from my phone (wouldn't work on my old tablet) so uploaded it on an older phone.

8. It works well.Generally it's great but every now and then the Microsoft tablet version locks up and you loose what you have done.

9. And also not a fan of how it takes so long to reconnect to the zwift "game" function when you exit the app to go into a different app, even for a second or two.

10. For example: parts of the UI go missing randomly; the map sometimes fails to completely load and cannot be moved; Bluetooth connection often fails, especially while running; loses connection to server every now and then.

11. However what I would love to see is the ability to change my kit/bike, check out my badges, completed/uncompleted routes and better level progress in the companion app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Zwift Companion Issues

1. Fix Zwift Companion Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Zwift Companion: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Zwift Companion App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Zwift Companion" » Open Zwift Companion » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Zwift Companion » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Zwift Companion app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Zwift Companion servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Zwift Companion" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Zwift Companion app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Zwift Companion might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Zwift Companion. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Zwift Companion then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Zwift Companion not working


2. Fix Zwift Companion Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Zwift Companion be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Zwift Companion not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Zwift Companion may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
