1. I used to be a huge fan but now I'm only using it because I already have a watch and scale and haven't looked into if another app could work with these devices.I'm not a fan of the redesign, seems bit clunky and not easy to find what you're looking for.

2. The fix is simple use dark text all the time in dark mode for bp results at top of the page.Nothing records even though connected! Apple version wasn't great, but this one useless! Three devices, none work though connected.

3. My wife was successful in activating the app but the Withings Body Smart scale doesn't sync with the app after the second day.

4. It's slow, inconsistent, and you can't view weight trend lines over the past year (only the current year which makes no sense when your at the start of the year!) if you can find a better app/device, do so.

5. It's a scale app but the weight is three tiles down from the top on the home screen.

6. The scale will show it if you happen to look down at the right time, but I can't find it on the app.

7. So many errors!!! Thinking of returning the scale as we cannot use all the features of it being "smart".

10. For example the step count in the Withings app is showing 12,875 steps but Google fit and Samsung health are showing approx.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Withings Issues

1. Fix Withings Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Withings: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Withings App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Withings" » Open Withings » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Withings » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Withings app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Withings servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Withings" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Withings app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Withings might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Withings. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Withings then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Withings not working


2. Fix Withings Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Withings be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Withings not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Withings may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
