1. Otherwise good product.I need my Widex hearing aids to connect to my Android phone, and they show "Connected" in the Widex app, but they do NOT, in fact, actually connect to my phone.

2. During the initial fitting with the audiologist, we were immediately able to connect my hearing aids to the phone via Bluetooth.

3. Lastly, my batteries, that were freshly put in the day I got my hearing aids only lasted me about 4 days, a full 3 days shy of the full week I was promised for battery life, and I have taken my hearing aids out and left the battery case open every night.

7. I Main reason I selected these aids was to be able to connect seamlessly to my android phone.

8. However this app would not connect to the hearing aids, despite multiple tries, reinstalls, etc.

9. So we need: 1) the ability to back up and restore custom profiles and 2) a SW button that forces the app to connect to the aids.This app worked great.

10. When I charge my hearing aids or they die or I turn them off the app will still say they are connected.

11. Now it doesn't communicate consistently with my hearing aids.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix WIDEX EVOKE Issues

1. Fix WIDEX EVOKE Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart WIDEX EVOKE: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the WIDEX EVOKE App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WIDEX EVOKE" » Open WIDEX EVOKE » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WIDEX EVOKE » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear WIDEX EVOKE app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WIDEX EVOKE servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WIDEX EVOKE" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check WIDEX EVOKE app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WIDEX EVOKE might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall WIDEX EVOKE. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WIDEX EVOKE then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WIDEX EVOKE not working


2. Fix WIDEX EVOKE Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WIDEX EVOKE be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WIDEX EVOKE not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WIDEX EVOKE may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
