1. Wahoo looking into warranty/replacement for my kickr though so customer service seems OK.Software doesn't work for Spin Down and Firmware Updates, at least not for Pixel 2 Android devices due to a known software bug.

2. My watts are way off and i cant do a factory spin down.Similar to others having swapped back to Android from iOS I've found that the Wahoo Utility and Wahoo Fitness apps do not "see" my Kickr even though the phone can see it in the Bluetooth devices list.

3. Update - After waiting well over a month i still cannot do a spin down or firmware update using my Pixel.

10. The only spin down I can perform is on Zwift.Terribly inconsistent app for a brand that is supposed help motivate people with consistency.

11. I've been advised to use an iOS device in the meantime to update my firmware.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Wahoo Utility Issues

1. Fix Wahoo Utility Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Wahoo Utility: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Wahoo Utility App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Wahoo Utility" » Open Wahoo Utility » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Wahoo Utility » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Wahoo Utility app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Wahoo Utility servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Wahoo Utility" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Wahoo Utility app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Wahoo Utility might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Wahoo Utility. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Wahoo Utility then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Wahoo Utility not working


2. Fix Wahoo Utility Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Wahoo Utility be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Wahoo Utility not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Wahoo Utility may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
