1. Either continuing to just spin and spin, until I give up or it gives me an error message saying it can't connect at this time and to try again later.This app obviously needs more work.

2. "IF" it does turn green for once, it turns off through the night, leaving your phone doing stuff unsecure on internet.

3. Update: IT WON'T GO AWAY! After unsubscribing, uninstalling and rebooting, it still pops up! This is malware!It work pretty good for a few years but for the last month it won't even connect.

8. And no one has responded, is as frustrating as the app.As some others have pointed out, Verizon presented this as a free add-on yet they were charged monthly for the service.

9. But some time the vpn does not turn on when I switch internet connection.

10. I bought premium version for $3.99. I'm done.Of course you can't tell if this really works or not, but assuming it does, it's still a bad product.

11. Funny THERE ISN'T ONE! Paying for an app that doesn't work....Not working properly for me.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Safe Wi-Fi Issues

1. Fix Safe Wi-Fi Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Safe Wi-Fi: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Safe Wi-Fi App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Safe Wi-Fi" » Open Safe Wi-Fi » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Safe Wi-Fi » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Safe Wi-Fi app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Safe Wi-Fi servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Safe Wi-Fi" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Safe Wi-Fi app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Safe Wi-Fi might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Safe Wi-Fi. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Safe Wi-Fi then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Safe Wi-Fi not working


2. Fix Safe Wi-Fi Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Safe Wi-Fi be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Safe Wi-Fi not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Safe Wi-Fi may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
