1. The Steam Link app brings desktop gaming to your Android device.
2. Just pair a Bluetooth controller or Steam Controller to your device, connect to a computer running Steam, and start playing your existing Steam games.
1. The control customization is very comprehensive and some games even have custom layouts with special icons and input methods, which makes them a lot easier to play.It generally works great.. It tries a little too hard to act as a controller, though, rather than letting the touchscreen be a mouse, and it attempts to outsmart the user by changing what input schemes are available based on what it thinks is happening, instead of letting the user control it.
2. I love using this to play simple games or pick at homework with my full PC desktop streaming to my phone or iPad while doing light cardio at the gym. This is fairly good in terms of connecting and being able to control your games with your phone.
3. Partly Microsoft's fault.Really neat how you can use your phone to play games on your PC essentially like a remote desktop app, but I gotta say it's kinda dumb that you have to accept the connection *at the computer* in order to connect, when the whole reason for using the app is so you can access the PC when you're not at it.
4. On occassion, the build won't support Chrome OS, but seems to get fixed within a week or so.A nice app to stream your PC to your phone using steam, but does have some latency issues, and can sometimes become unplayable.
5. what would be a great addition is at the main screen (the one where it tells you host computer status and if you have a controler connected.) a close/kill all running games.
6. Kinda defeats the purpose of being a remote app.great way to play my steam library.
7. Touch controls are definitely quirky and need to be brought up to speed with current Steam Input features on the Deck, but its all free, responsive, customizable, and capable.
8. the reason for making it a 5 star instead of anything lower, is that it runs much better than other apps, especially Stadia, due to many reasons. The ideal way to game on Chrome OS; I just stream straight from my main PC to the tablet.
9. Steam has made significant improvements to their streaming solution and added many unique features at the same time.
10. Also, since it's made by Valve, it integrates right into the Steam client on your computer, so no having to install software from shady sources.
11. Although I do not like how difficult it is to use a bluetooth connected controller to play on as an input selection.
