Smart AppLock Customer Insights

1. Some apps don't honor the biometrics, so I have to use another method to open such, that or it is the Google Security Patch (a.k.a Virus) which makes my phone practically useless.

2. The RAM/Memory boost is sporadic.In recent uodate it has become so annoying... It keeps in locking the app even when i am using that particular app.. i have to enter pattern or fingerprint for unlock every 3 to 4 seconds... I will uninstall if it doesnt get resolved quickly.App worked great until recently.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smart AppLock Issues

1. Fix Smart AppLock Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smart AppLock: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smart AppLock App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart AppLock" » Open Smart AppLock: Privacy Protect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart AppLock » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smart AppLock: Privacy Protect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart AppLock servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart AppLock: Privacy Protect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smart AppLock app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart AppLock might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart AppLock. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart AppLock then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart AppLock not working


2. Fix Smart AppLock Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smart AppLock be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smart AppLock not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smart AppLock may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
