Plus I'm saving almost $20 each month since I switched from StraightTalk who blocks tethering and doesn't let you customize your coverage on the fly!For a casual user with changing needs, Tello is amazing to me in the way that one can custom tailor the plan and adjust it as needed; essentially "Have it your way".

2. Cheap prices, customizable plans, and reliable service & data that I can use with my other devices when there's no Wifi through the hotspot function... and they don't charge you extra for it!!! Can't say enough about how much I love their service & options.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Tello Issues

1. Fix My Tello Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Tello: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Tello App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Tello" » Open My Tello » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Tello » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Tello app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Tello servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Tello" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Tello app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Tello might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Tello. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Tello then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Tello not working


2. Fix My Tello Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Tello be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Tello not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Tello may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
