What users are saying

1. I want queue calls bypassing DND, but if I'm not working and have DND on, I don't want people calling me directly and making my phone go off.Call quality even when it is working is really poor- nothing but complaints from people on the other end.

2. I don't need my phone ringing loudly every time a call comes in to my work number.

3. I set the ringtone to "custom" and chose "silent", but it appears to ignore this setting and loudly blasts the admittedly quite catchy 3CX built-in tune through the whole office every time a call comes in.

4. Because of the missing block feature, the app will often ring for calls that my desk phone does not allow through because they are blacklisted.Very buggy.

5. There are so very few things you can adjust with this app & I dislike the layout, the fact that my phone can't control the settings, and as of a few days ago I don't even get the whole screen to come up when a call cones in.

6. Calls drop constantly and it messes with my phone settings to where I don't get notifications for text messages or phone calls anymore.

7. I can't put my phone on silent though because I need to hear if someone calls my personal number.

8. I have my email notifications turned off but when I am on a call through 3cx and receive and email or text message, I get a series of loud beeps that last about 4 seconds in which the call is dead until the beeps are done.

9. When you're on a call, if another call comes through, 50% of the time, instead of another line ringing, it rings in your ear as if the app isn't open.

10. It rings at the same time your desk phone does and mobile access to the directory is convenient.

11. I get multiple instances of the same one incoming phone call, then the call drops completely.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix 3CX Issues

1. Fix 3CX Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart 3CX: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the 3CX App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "3CX" » Open 3CX » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for 3CX » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear 3CX app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from 3CX servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "3CX" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check 3CX app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, 3CX might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall 3CX. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall 3CX then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing 3CX not working


2. Fix 3CX Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make 3CX be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to 3CX not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, 3CX may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
