Why should I report an Issue with Pawscout?

1. AppContacter will directly Email your issue/feedback to an apps's customer service once you report an issue and with lots of issues reported, companies will definitely listen to you.
2. Pulling issues faced by users like you is a good way to draw attention of Pawscout Inc. to your problem using the strength of crowds.
3. Importantly, customers can learn from other customers in case the issue is a common problem that has been solved before.

1. I expected it to be able to use other devices with the pawscout app installed to help in triangulation (something it should be able to do with the existing hardware, allowing multiple family members to walk around looking, giving more accurate results) but it can't.

2. Between the non-functioning device, even after a changed battery, the missing name tag(intentional?available for an additional fee?) and the low app ratings, I'll wait for some improvements before trying again.It was advertised more to make you believe that it would track there whereabouts.

3. I have a pro membership now for a year to see how this pans out and if it gets better, but if it doesn't I'll definitely need to look into higher priced devices by other companies.The app is neat, fairly easy to navigate, and the location is fairly accurate.

4. -easy to use once set up -resources to help find a lost animal Cons: -the need to be whitelisted/in use for accuracy bc it drains battery -the community feature.

5. The latest update now includes a large grey circle that shows that you're pet is within range, which I don't like compared to the older version that showed a blue dot with your pets picture right where they were at.

6. I did initially have a lot of trouble getting the device to work.device didn't work, even changed battery.

7. I can't manually update the walk details for my pets even though its incorrectly tracked so I've resorted to just using it for noting the actual walks took place.

8. It might just be me, but I'm not looking to meet up and find it a bit silly to be following other peoples pets.the device is okay.

9. Pros: -the ability to have other caregivers who watch him also be able to track him/his walks and communicate with us via app.

10. And you need to pay for a battery level indicator? Hell no!So the original rating Ingave the app was 1 star because it just plain didnt work.

11. I noticed when I first got it, not many people around me had it, but since then more have signed up and that seems to have caused an increase in accuracy.Major problem: says dog is out of range and he's right in front of me.

1. Fix Pawscout Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Pawscout: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Pawscout App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Pawscout" » Open Pawscout » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Pawscout » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Pawscout app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Pawscout servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Pawscout" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Pawscout app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Pawscout might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Pawscout. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Pawscout then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Pawscout not working

2. Fix Pawscout Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Pawscout be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Pawscout not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Pawscout may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
