1. Before I delete the app: why do i have to accept privacy policy and terms of service every time? Oh, it's because you're collecting sooo much of my personal data! Sayonara Suckers!!! Having the same problem as everyone else - "Could not find articles" and then closes.

2. If this issue were fixed, I would gladly give a higher rating.HELP WITH VIDEOS PLEASE! I have watched/read TMZ for years now, and have even learned to deal with the consistent shutting down and freezing of the app, BUT I cannot stand that no matter what I do I am unable to watch any of the videos.

7. I have given it time to load (5 minutes is more than enough, I would think), I have restarted my phone, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

8. If not fixed I will have to permanently uninstall.Updated 10-2-18 It looks like the problem has, been resolved.

9. I think I'll check out TMZ on the web browser and not have to deal with the app, but I would prefer it just be fixed to the less glitchy app it used to be.Articles are full of typos and are clearly based.

10. Articles repeat after the top 5 newest, then they repeat again.5/25/2022 Update: Every so often I try the app, and without fail, it just doesn't work.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TMZ Issues

1. Fix TMZ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TMZ: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TMZ App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TMZ" » Open TMZ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TMZ » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TMZ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TMZ servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TMZ" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TMZ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TMZ might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TMZ. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TMZ then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TMZ not working


2. Fix TMZ Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TMZ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TMZ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TMZ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
