RAR Customer Insights

1. The files are still there and I was able to retrieve them in a Windows op system via a memory card reader, but were no longer visible on my Android devices.I keep popping an error when extracting, but a full page video ad pops up exactly the same time as the error message, therefore, I cannot attempt to fix.

2. [I've been using this for my 2DS, and at first i used the app on my tablet, and i could only move the files to a home folder on that SD, but it doesn't happen on my phone so thats nice!] Suggestion: Search buttonThe app did exactly what I needed to do.

3. When moving files from internal memory to an SD card, the SD card is afterwards no longer readable by the Android operating system, as if it has been deleted.

4. I was moving files from my download folder in internal memory to a folder with the same name on the SD card which was formatted for external file storage.

5. I tried to zip some files on my phone and it ran out of storage, so I went to delete the half-made zip file to start over, and it said the files couldn't be deleted.

6. When trying to create a multi volume backup of the Backup (35 or so GB), the first volume is created, the second one too, but with the error "Cannot modify volume /storage/emulated/0/APK Backup (23-0704).part1.rar". So that's all, the app halts all further volume creations due to this error.

7. But i have issues, sometimes when I'm opening a 7z folder, it'll say that there are no files selected, so i have to delete the app and try again.

8. Its user interface is easy to use, I never had a hard time looking for files.

9. It's been good so far with opening up RAR files and such and i wouldn't say it has any downsides.

10. Yes, there are adverts, the occasional full screen obvious sort, not that nasty subtle sort trying to lure in misclicks.

11. So I tried to zip the files again after freeing up some more space and there were no files.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix RAR Issues

1. Fix RAR Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart RAR: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the RAR App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "RAR" » Open RAR » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for RAR » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear RAR app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from RAR servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "RAR" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check RAR app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, RAR might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall RAR. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall RAR then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing RAR not working


2. Fix RAR Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make RAR be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to RAR not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, RAR may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I will like to delete this account because I subscribed because of a product I purchased that doesn't work for me so please canceled my subscription. I already uninstalled the appt.
