1. I do still use it for my Windows laptop though, it works for that OS fine.I remember hearing about Prey years ago and ever since, I've made sure to install it on all of my devices.

2. I can't create control zones using my phone, as entering the address doesn't change the location of the zone.

3. Completely broke the shutdown protection, which was a PITA & caused some serious concern when it made it take forever to boot back up, after I STILL managed to get it to shut down (though it took a while) even despite Prey trying to prevent it & then some.

4. As a result, this is getting 1-star from me and a permanent uninstall unless the problems are addressed.Does what it says it will do! Really good app! Only wish it used a better map program like Google maps.

5. I was able to add both my laptop and my phone, but the control zone feature doesn't seem to work very well on my phone.

6. The device appears in the list of devices that I can add, but it is faded out and doesn't let me add it, saying that it's already added.

1. Fix Prey Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Prey: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Prey App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Prey" » Open Prey: Find My Phone & Security » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Prey » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Prey: Find My Phone & Security app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Prey servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Prey: Find My Phone & Security" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Prey app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Prey might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Prey. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Prey then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Prey not working

2. Fix Prey Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Prey be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Prey not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Prey may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
