FishLine Customer Insights

1. RI consumers potentially have access to truly superior seafood, but I see them in local fish markets buying nothing but farmed salmon, so they are clearly part of the problem.As written by others, why do you need access to my files? As a buyer not a seller, I do not need to provide any information to your app.Not enough options (places) to buy seafood, in my area (Boston).

2. Thanks for making this great app!Great accurate application, easy to find the location to purchase crab.i want to use this app but it seems to require access to my photos media and files.

3. i dont understand why thay want this access.....what else are they grabbing from my files....or is this a glitch in the app development.

4. When I open the app I get a home screen, that doesn't lead to anything.Useless in Rhode Island because, except for a few lobster boats, fishermen are not using the app.

5. Not only is it useful in finding the freshest fish one can buy, the stories by fisherman are great reads.

6. All i want is to go buy fish from the local fishmen that recomended this app.

7. Next I put in a Boston zip and got no results.Doesn't work with Android 9.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix FishLine Issues

1. Fix FishLine Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart FishLine: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the FishLine App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "FishLine" » Open FishLine® Fresh Local Seafood » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for FishLine » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear FishLine® Fresh Local Seafood app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from FishLine servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "FishLine® Fresh Local Seafood" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check FishLine app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, FishLine might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall FishLine. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall FishLine then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing FishLine not working


2. Fix FishLine Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make FishLine be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to FishLine not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, FishLine may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
