(This is where Greenify attempts to hibernate apps, taking Smart Lock into consideration, and does this without disabling/preventing biometics from functioning) Whenever my screen turns off, and a significant amount of time has passed; my phone never starts the "Sleep and Hibernate" functionality doesn't say "Greenfly is still working" "Turning off the screen".

7. Lastly,whenever I wake up my phone, it appears as though Greenify becomes stuck, trying to force stop an application.

8. Sadly, since a few months or so I can no longer add apps as Greenify will simply crash a few seconds after I get to that screen.

9. When selecting any apps to hibernate/force stop, greenify constantly stutters and cannot execute consecutively.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Greenify Issues

1. Fix Greenify Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Greenify: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Greenify App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Greenify" » Open Greenify » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Greenify » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Greenify app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Greenify servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Greenify" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Greenify app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Greenify might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Greenify. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Greenify then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Greenify not working


2. Fix Greenify Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Greenify be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Greenify not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Greenify may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
