Skip Customer Insights

1. Had a couple of weird issues while ordering, food delivered to the wrong place, orders being given to the wrong driver at the restaurant, food not being delivered at all, and while these are typically the fault of the driver or the restaurant, I do believe Skip could do a better job mitigating them through additional stage gates in the order process.They now charge a service fee.

2. Terrible customer service to boot.Scammers! They sent out a fake $5 credit promotion that they claim has expired around 1 pm, although the email mentions it's valid for 5 days, and last time I checked, the day ends at midnight, not earlier in the afternoon.

3. The promotional offers often bugs out and when I pay, they remove my promotional code and it no longer works, happens really often to me.Service isn't great when you have issues, I sent an email after I didn't get an order and they answered right away (obviously an automated message) saying they couldn't reimburse me.

4. I went to live chat and got some of the money back after 30 minutes.Used to be good, customer service was lacking, but lately they have been remembering to add the credit's owed.

5. I've been ordering thru skip for years now and when my order is incorrect or missing items skip will no longer help me.

6. I'd consider 10-15 minutes an excessive amount of time for the driver to be doing other deliverys while with my order.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Skip Issues

1. Fix Skip Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Skip: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Skip App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Skip" » Open Skip - Delivery » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Skip » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Skip - Delivery app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Skip servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Skip - Delivery" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Skip app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Skip might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Skip. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Skip then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Skip not working


2. Fix Skip Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Skip be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Skip not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Skip may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
