1. The good thing is if a door is open and you try to "open it", the button will simply change state instead of cycling the door.Works good but you have to have patient if your used to using a clicker.

2. Scrolling through the registered lights is extremely laggy, feels like 10 fps.The app used to work flawlessly, but since the last update of two, I'm no longer getting notifications for garage door events.

3. Overall good product for the price.The response from Meross is a LIE! The WIDGET IMAGE does NOT have any red dot indication or status! You have to open the app completely to check/see any indicators.

4. For example, all devices load it you create a new scene... If you have three devices it's probably a convenient feature, but if you have twenty then it isn't."Quick connection " didn't work and I was obliged to go to 3rd level of troubleshooting to get the devices to work.

5. Some bran0n changed the WIDGET images of open and closed doors to obscure images that are almost identical.

6. Sometimes the actual state of the garage door is not up to date, so you have to pull down to refresh.

7. Sadly, the widget doesn't seem to always be in sync with the switch it is controllingThe app has been working great so far but sometimes the scheduling is a little messed up.

8. There are no ads and the app does come with a nice widget for quick access to your Meross devices.

9. I have and some success with using Samsung Smarthings to control it but as of now, it can only open the garage...can't shut it.

10. The door notifications for open and closed are both toggled on.

11. Even though the garage door state is changing properly.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix meross Issues

1. Fix meross Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart meross: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the meross App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "meross" » Open meross » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for meross » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear meross app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from meross servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "meross" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check meross app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, meross might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall meross. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall meross then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing meross not working


2. Fix meross Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make meross be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to meross not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, meross may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I purchased Surge protector model MSS425F in 2021 from Amazon. I have not been using it for a while, I have plugged it in and there are no led light showing. I have changed the fuse in the plug, and still not working. Any advice please.

  • Peut-on connecter deux interrupteur 2 way connecter sur une même installation entre « changer les deux interrupteurs d'un va-et-vient si oui comment fait-on un des deux interrupteurs ne pose pas de problème plus qu'il a la phase direct mais l'autre oui y a-t-il une manière de le configurer différentes

    We bought the meross smart wi-fi switches to control our lights in the garden.
    Everything worked, but the switch loses the wifi connection and the devices no longer respond. The fault is not with our network or wifi, which is stable.

  • During the install of my MSG200HK garage door opener, the micro USB plug came off the internal circuit board when plugging in the power cable. I have waited for 4 days for a response from tech support and have heard nothing yet.

  • Ich habe meine 7390 FRITZ!Box gegen eine neue 7590 getauscht. Nun geht nichts mehr mit neuen MEROSS Geräten. Alle, die noch an der alten FRITZ!Box angemeldetet waren funktionieren auch an der neuen FRITZ!Box (gleiches SSID und gleiches Passwort), es lassen sich aber keine neuen Smart-Plugs an der 7590 installieren. Ich habe schon mehrfach den MEROSS Support angeschrieben; keine Reaktion. Vielleicht hilft dieser Weg oder jemand hat hier eine Idee, woran es liegt!

  • I have installed an MSS510 switch which is working through HomeKit because I used an iPad to install but I really want this working thru Google Home with the balance of my devices in my home. Your software has forced me to the HomeKit side in activating and registering this device. I need to register this device in Meross app but can not do it even thru my laptop where I loaded the Meross app but it does not show the product to select. Help! Or do I send this product back for credit with the other switch not yet installed because these are certainly not compatible with Google Home!
