1. Would be better if it used a system like vancouvers compass card which provides cheaper fares and allows you to deposit money into it like a wallet that will be charged as you board and payBeware - purchased tickets expire! Excited for Calgary's transit system to finally join the 21st century, I downloaded the app and purchased two tickets (no issue buying them).

2. After all that, tried going to the web browser that they were advertising on the app to buy a ticket, but couldn't figure out where to go on the web browser to actually do that.App works great, aside from one major bug... Having the option to get 2 monthly adult passes at once rather than one, i obliged and purchased 2 for slight convenience of simply activating the next one, next month.

3. Ridiculous! I use transit infrequently and wanted to pre-purchase a few tickets for when I need them, but that doesn't work with a 1-week expiry.

4. 2) when actually paying for the ticket I did not find finalizing payment intuitive at all, I guessed by clicking on my payment card that it then wanted my CVV.

5. For example you can't add a credit card to the app ahead of time, you must make an actual purchase and only then can you save the card.This app is a downgrade from the first Calgary transit app.

6. To my chagrin, I didn't see the fine print that tickets expire within 7 days if unused.

7. So here i am out of ~$220 worth of monthly passes and very annoyed! Please resolve this issue and refund my money!UI is ugly and confusing.

8. The map feature is gone along with being able to figure out what bus stop is nearby or the ability to plot a route without knowing the line or stop number.

9. Just buy a bus passThe app kept saying it couldn't log in when I was trying to buy a ticket.

10. Now every time I would go to a different page or buy a ticket, it would give me an error code SDK 200.

11. My ticket expired 6 minutes before a bus came making it worthless.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Fare Issues

1. Fix My Fare Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Fare: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Fare App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Fare" » Open My Fare » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Fare » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Fare app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Fare servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Fare" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Fare app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Fare might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Fare. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Fare then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Fare not working


2. Fix My Fare Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Fare be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Fare not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Fare may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
