The Point Customer Insights

1. The app doesn't seem to keep track of listen time for listener rewards when listening to a podcast only live radio.

2. If I pause the podcast and hit play again, sometimes it will take me all the way back to the start again! I want to support it, but it's so frustratingWith the new update, in podcast the scroll bar that allowed you to pick back up where you last listened was replaced by a skip 30 sec back and forth arrow.

3. Have NEVER been able to listen to an entire podcast! Wish I could hear it on some other forum!!I used to live in illinois and this was all I listened to, you guys and your station are fantastic.

4. This update makes it inconvenient when you want to skip ahead an hour and pick up where I left off.Apparently, nothing will be done about my issue, as I've seen other reviews from over a year ago with the same problem.

5. Found out about your app and I got my sanity back, now it's all I listen to, keep doing what you guys do, you're awesome.Update 9-21-21 they seemed to have fixed most of their bugs, no longer one star.

6. Which would be fine if when I press play it wouldn't jump back to the beginning of the podcast! I've tried listening to the same podcast like 5 times now because it keeps jumping back to the beginning.

7. I love be able to listen and get entered for rewards but the new update is buggy.

9. I just get an error message saying the app is unable to load my rewards due to a network connection error, but all of my other apps are connecting just fine.The app used to be great.

10. Please get rid of this glitch and allow us to move the little dot to start where we want to on podcasts.I love how clear the audio is and that i can rate the songs that have been recently played.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix The Point Issues

1. Fix The Point Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart The Point: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the The Point App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Point" » Open The Point » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Point » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear The Point app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Point servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Point" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check The Point app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Point might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall The Point. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Point then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Point not working


2. Fix The Point Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make The Point be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to The Point not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, The Point may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
