1. Doesn't want my money the day before its late; hmm interesting...This app doesnt let me see my bill PDF because there is a storage permissions error but there is no option to allow the app to give it permission so its basically useless to check my account and bill details.

2. Two (or in my case 3) step authentication should be an option not mandatory for all.App is easy to see bill and report outages, but I seem to be having a problem allowing notifications from the app.

3. Example if the thermostat has any hold on it as in temporary hold or permanent hold you can't adjust the temperature from within the app, you have to go back to the thermostat press run to unlock the hold.

4. Which means if you leave from home and you forget to do that then you just have to come home to a hot or cold house.I'm currently unable to program my thermostat after installing the most recent update.

5. Now it is mostly full of useless junk, and trying to set the thermostat hangs.Horrendous customer service.

6. The app either needs to alert people to that fact - or better yet - fix it so that the usable page is right in the front.This app is ok it could be better, much better, it's slow as hell booting up and loading up from page to page.

7. I signed on to this app to program my thermostat.

8. Just use your browser of choice.I have paid my bill but it says that I'm past due.

9. I clicked on each menu at the bottom, but the only real functionality I found was the ability to change my password.

10. But then I accidentally clicked on the current amount I owe, and that's where I was able to locate the other functions.

11. Also I wish it had the same functionalities as the thermostat.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Pepco Issues

1. Fix Pepco Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Pepco: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Pepco App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Pepco" » Open Pepco » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Pepco » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Pepco app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Pepco servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Pepco" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Pepco app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Pepco might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Pepco. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Pepco then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Pepco not working


2. Fix Pepco Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Pepco be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Pepco not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Pepco may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
