About iSmart DV

1. You can connect the Camera or Action Cam by Android Smart Phone or Pad with iSmart DV 2016 App, after established the connection, you can live view the camera video stream, trigger start movie record, take a picture, view the thumbnail, and download the video or picture. 2.

2. Some android phone need to turn off [Smart Network Switch] or [when wireless weak, wifi will auto smart switch] function in WIFI advanced setting . (importment!! 4.

iSmart DV Customer Insights

1. If you stop the camera WiFi to make a change your phone connects somewhere useful and is a pain to switch back, I see limited value for the app.Works fine with my CrossTour CT9900 action camera installed on my OnePlus 7 Pro phone.

2. I had to add the WiFi details to my phone manually, then connect to the camera's WiFi network manually, and tell the phone to stay connected even though the WiFi network had no Internet access.I dont whether it's the camera or the software but it regularly frezzes and I have to shut everything down and restart.

3. A low power on battery does help either so keep camera battery plugged in while viewing videos.

4. Please give an option to remove these pop-ups, or at least make them smaller so I can still use my camera during work without annoying pop-upsLeaps and bounds better than the iSmart Pro+, this app actually let's you do quite a lot, you have access to all settings.

5. And then sometimes the video downloaded from the camera won't play as it says its unable to support form which I don't get as it has just been downloaded into the software.. All in all its not brilliant.

6. The phone is tied to the camera WiFi and has no Internet connection.

7. Locked up the camera twice in video mode to where I had to pull the camera battery to reset.

8. I don't care about the remote control functionality (which seems to work).Hi, I have a Crosstour Action Camera, it recommended DV King app, which is utterly awful.

9. I searched the other options and found this, it worked perfectly, connected immediately to my camera, operated the camera via my mobile, everything is easy to use, and there's a help button to overcome any issues.

10. This meets my needs perfectly.The app let's you start and stop your recording and switch between camera and video.

11. With minimal use so far my only complaint is the app is slow to respond but I imagine that is the delay between the camera and the phone and may not be fixable.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix iSmart DV Issues

1. Fix iSmart DV Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart iSmart DV: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the iSmart DV App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "iSmart DV" » Open iSmart DV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for iSmart DV » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear iSmart DV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from iSmart DV servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "iSmart DV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check iSmart DV app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, iSmart DV might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall iSmart DV. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall iSmart DV then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing iSmart DV not working


2. Fix iSmart DV Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make iSmart DV be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to iSmart DV not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, iSmart DV may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
