What users are saying

1. Which is annoying because now I'm trying to migrate to a new device, so Contacts which I have saved on the phone haven't been pushed to Exchange and I will have to recreate the additions/changes manually 😞I cant send emails over a mobile data connection for weeks and noone seems to be able to help me.

2. I've cleared cache, turned it off and on, don't know next steps, this is awful. When I send some mails successfully then something happens and I couldn't send an email anymore.

3. It gets a full 5 stars from me!I used this app for years but lately it won't send emails, putting them all in the outbox folder.

4. All other email apps have either been uninstalled or disabled.

5. Proof is, 10 unread in Inbox folder and none unread in any other folder, thus should be 10 unread in 'All Messages' folder as well, but app shows 20.

6. I no longer use it, choosing to use Blue Mail instead, which is brilliant. This is absolutely the best email client for Android.

7. ThanksSimple, easy to use, you can put multiple email accounts on it for speed and convenience, and to top it all off it uses very little battery.

8. I just tried to download the app after 3 weeks of not having the mail app and now it won't download at all! I'm so disappointed.

9. You can't sort, you can't flag, it only shows you one folder, it gives you notifications for messages you sent.

10. It's too bad that this is so bad.I've used this for years across a few generations of HTC One devices, it was great for Exchange support when others hadn't caught up yet.

11. Its the out going email on mobile data connection.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HTC Mail Issues

1. Fix HTC Mail Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart HTC Mail: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HTC Mail App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HTC Mail" » Open HTC Mail » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HTC Mail » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HTC Mail app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HTC Mail servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HTC Mail" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HTC Mail app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HTC Mail might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HTC Mail. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HTC Mail then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HTC Mail not working

2. Fix HTC Mail Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HTC Mail be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HTC Mail not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HTC Mail may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
