1. The groundbreaking Wonders app for Android brings together Professor Brian Cox’s Wonders of the Solar System and Wonders of the Universe books with the award-winning TV series produced by the BBC into a single interactive experience.
2. It can be enjoyed on a purely superficial level – marvel at a Red Giant; gaze upon the beauty of the Lagoon Nebula – or fully immerse yourself in the related video and text to understand where we came from, how we got here and where we’re going as the destiny of the Universe plays out.
3. Travel with Professor Brian Cox through a 3D Universe, scaling up from sub atomic particles through the solar system and Milky Way, local Stars and Galaxies to the edge of the known Universe.
4. Take a solo voyage, jetting between planets, moons, asteroids, nebulae and black holes, or take one of Brian’s tours for a curated journey of the Wonders that surround us..
5. The app is as spectacular as the universe it unlocks, but also profoundly educational.
6. The content in this app is very highly detailed, featuring many high-resolution textures to produce the real-time 3D scenes.
7. This requires at least 2GB RAM 1. 5 GHz on your device.
1. It's a massive downgrade which is a shame but it's an old app so I don't see it getting an update any time soon.Loved this on ios a long time ago, in comparison it is completely useless on android, pls remaster. From the Very High quality Apple App to this disgusting joke of an App for Android....WHY??MAKE IT THE SAME QUALITY AS APPLE APPThe Best App EverI was a user of the iOS version for many years, but have been yet unable to browse around the universe with the ease that version granted me.
2. (For a while, it was working fine on the Moto G due to an update, but then another update killed it for that phone model.)Works great on my phone and is nice and smooth.
3. The good news is that on a Moto X 1st gen, it works fairly well, thus I will raise the rating to four stars.
4. I even tried them side by side - no question that the Android version does not immerse in the same fashion.
5. If they do, I'll give 5 stars!SUSI heard of this app from a NY Times review, as I am preparing to teach a college-level astronomy course later this summer.
6. Is it something to do with the way the interface works? This just seems limited and clunky compared to what I've grown to love about the iOS counterpart.
7. maybe it's just because of a lack of updates but the videos don't work and the navigation isn't bad but just worse in comparision.
8. Update August 21: For a while it used to work fairly well (3 stars) due to an update.
9. Easy to use and good content and video snippets from the series.
10. So far it can only receive one star, for lack of a zero star option.
11. What's the deal? Was so good on the iphone.
