Dude, write a tool to connect to an ip port combination using Socks 5 protocol and the world will beat a trail to your door.Overal, i love this app and how smooth it is but i have some tips to make it better: can you make an option to test all of the existing profiles and remove the not working ones automatically? because sometimes you have hundreds of servers and you don't know if all of them are aliveOne slight complaint.

2. which means, this app DOES NOT provide services on itself !!!! so if your speed is slow or whatever, contact the person you've bought your service from instead of leaving one star reviews on an app that doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the slow servers you're using.*update: Tracked down some info somewhere suggesting to put 8.8.8.8 in remote dns field.

3. perhaps the app does have some minor issues on connection establishment, but as far as I can think of, the app provides client services, it does not have any server side things that relate to the servers it connected to.To users who are complaining about slow speed, this app is only a CLIENT for a PROTOCOL.

1. Fix Shadowsocks Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Shadowsocks: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Shadowsocks App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Shadowsocks" » Open Shadowsocks » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Shadowsocks » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Shadowsocks app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Shadowsocks servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Shadowsocks" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Shadowsocks app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Shadowsocks might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Shadowsocks. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Shadowsocks then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Shadowsocks not working

2. Fix Shadowsocks Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Shadowsocks be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Shadowsocks not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Shadowsocks may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
