About Vibration Meter

1. Vibration Meter measures vibrations using your deviceā€™s sensors on all 3 axes: X, Y, Z and shows reference to earthquake vibrations as classified by internationally used Mercalli intensity scale for seismic activities such as earthquakes.

2. The Mercalli intensity scale is a seismic scale used for measuring the intensity of an earthquake.

3. To use; place your device on stable surface and measure seismic or other vibrations. I. Instrumental - Not felt.

4. Vibration Meter can also be called seismograph or seismometer when used for measuring seismic activity.

5. Vibrations are shown in all 3 directions: X, Y, Z in different colors and specific directions can be turned off or on for more accurate directional readings.

6. Some countries use Richter scale instead of Mercalli scale.

7. Destructive - Significant damage. Trees broken. IX. Violent - General panic. Serious damage. Cracks. X.

8. Strong - Books off shelves. Trees shake. Damage. VII.

9. Intense - Most buildings destroyed. Rails bent. XI.

10. Slight - Felt indoors, like a passing light truck. IV.

11. Rather Strong - Felt by all. Small objects upset. VI.

Vibration Meter Customer Insights

1. Not really a quantitative tool but it does categorize the severity of vibration events which allows me to screen dampening strategies.I like using it except it doesn't record time of vibrations or playback so I can go back within a 24 hour time frame to see if any quake's occurred.Great app, but the ad placement blocks part of the interface.

2. Keep up the good work.šŸ˜€šŸ‘I have tested.the accuracy of this App.It's amazing, with the help of my spring bed,I slowly move, and the scale increased as I increased the intensity of the motion.

3. If it does i will upgrade the stars since it only happens at night time.

4. With more than 100 aftershocks a day for more than a week since the big earthquake, it's nice to have a parameter to check if your house is still moving or is just in your head .

5. If that was fixed, it would be 5 stars!Great app not to measure an earthquake but to check on the aftershocks.

6. Would like to see a data recording capability.Useful for testing vibration dampening.

7. One thing i don't like are the adds on the bottom since it covers the X Y Z and some other thing i am not sure what it is half way up from the bottom.Very good app.

8. Very cool i will be keeping thison my phone for along time.

9. I know it could pick it up on the bed but could it pick anything on the foor? Yes small singels letting me know the floor was shaking.

10. Actually laid my phone across my chest and app picked up vibrations of my heart.

11. Going to test it tonight to see if it can pickup vibrations i feel with my feet from the ground.
