1. Does not work.Similar to Sarah Lawson's review of one star (on the same date that my last app back up took place): I accessed my notes that I've been using to jot down for over a year, only to find all of them completely deleted and unsyncable.

2. When I tried to sync it using the button, it failed! I signed out and signed back in and it didn't even give me HALF of my data back! The notes I got back are incomplete too.

3. The backup sync didn't work, and the file it uploaded to my Google Drive is a broken file.

4. 😢In the description it says that you don't have to worry about data loss, but this is not true!!! I opened this app today and EVERY SINGLE NOTE AND CHECKLIST were GONE.

5. Super sad to have lost all my work and ideas; but I think the worst part is it's with a supposed "back up" that doesn't even work.All notes lost overnight.

6. And it takes forever to get where you can close it You make a list, save it in add to it, if you don't exit the note and return to it EACH TIME an item is edited to it does not save.

7. What does sync do cause it's not allowing me to open the file I did sync.

8. I reached out to customer support and they really didn't have much to say other then they are trying to fix the problem and to sync.

9. It shows that an update occurred, and now it just says "Empty Notes!" and everything I had in there is gone.

10. Be careful about syncing personal information like bank accounts, credit/debit cards, driver license number, address, phone number etc.

11. I ultimately ended up with a different app.I've been using this app for years and I thought it was safe because of the backup option, so if something happened to my phone or the app, I should be able to re-download it...right? Wrong.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Note Plus Issues

1. Fix Note Plus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Note Plus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Note Plus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Note Plus" » Open Note Plus - Notepad, Checklist » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Note Plus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Note Plus - Notepad, Checklist app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Note Plus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Note Plus - Notepad, Checklist" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Note Plus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Note Plus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Note Plus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Note Plus then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Note Plus not working


2. Fix Note Plus Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Note Plus be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Note Plus not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Note Plus may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
