1. Unfortunately though, my phone's been stuck on the Updating Sources screen for quite a bit to thw point where I might as well not bother with the app and instead go straight to the website.Great app.. *BUT*, I'm frustrated that owning physical copies of the books doesn't count as owning the digital copies, nor towards a discount.
2. It does glitch occasionally, and there is room for improvement but overall a great start! While it's improved over the years, my previous review from 2020 was 1 ⭐, I still don't see it as useful since I can almost never get the books to download and install, so I just end up using the website.
3. At least the books can be downloaded to read offline and the digital dice are awesome.Downloading or updating books is a nightmare and doesn't work if you try to do more than one book even though they have a download/update all option.
4. Half the time I use their character editor and character sheet feature I have to use the "Edit Character on Website" option to see everything I want to see.
5. Trying to update the "Basic Rules" and edit a character caused the whole app to crash and freeze my phone.I have been using dnd beyond for last few days.
6. I cleaned out the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled several times and still I can't get the books to work. The app is easy to navigate and use, but it loads the website inside of the app to modify/make characters which I hoped I could do offline.
7. The campaign menu shows only the game log and other players, if I was a DM then I would want to be able to use the notes tool from the website.
8. As you get comfortable with the game and grow your character, you may be inclined to invest in physical di or the books, but you CAN simply do the same on here.
9. Would love to see that everyone in the campaign could see the encounter and once rolled dice could see damage dealt and so on.It offers access to free and purchased books.
10. It creates a digital character sheet that can easily be changed as the game requires, but without erasing your sheet to hell.
11. I was able to easily make a character sheet when I first got the app, with all the things I needed to help me start playing.
