1. All of the apps problems keep getting worse.I love the content but I'm constantly struggling with signing in, password recovery, or my paid subscription not registering properly while still paying for it.

2. All other apps cast to my television just fine.there are a few little issues I have, like not being able to do searches based on sub-genre, actors, directors, countries, languages, decades, etc.

3. There are so many problems i see in these reviews that sound more like a problem on the buyers end, rather than shudder.I love the content but the app is trash.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Shudder Issues

1. Fix Shudder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Shudder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Shudder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Shudder" » Open Shudder: Horror & Thrillers » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Shudder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Shudder: Horror & Thrillers app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Shudder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Shudder: Horror & Thrillers" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Shudder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Shudder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Shudder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Shudder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Shudder not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Shudder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Shudder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Shudder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
