1. And documentation on how to use the Time Machine feature.I bought this years ago because I needed an app that I could quickly open, create a new note to type out anything from an email draft to an address or phone number, and keep all my thoughts and writings organized and even syncable across my devices.
2. Close to finishing the first book! Only reason it loses a star is because some of the more advanced features are a bit obtuse to me.This is a perfectly acceptable text editor, for the most part; I haven't had as much trouble as some people with the interface, but there's one critical problem with it: the app holds your files for ransom.
3. I love tracking my writing volume with the Time Machine, with total word counts and even the colored graph detailing daily volume since I first started using it.
4. The format they're stored in is obfuscated, and if you want to actually get a text file out of this text editing program, you have to pay for pro or use the free trial; this is something of a deal breaker for anyone who's actually writing, and not just taking notes for themselves.Final Edit: Alright, I thought about my review throughout the day.
5. But since a couple updates ago the screen is constantly rolling! Please fix this as it is really annoying! UPDATE: I received multiple emails from Pure Writer to address this and the rolling issue seems to be fixed! Thank you!Really good app.
6. It's also loaded with powerful features, making it suitable for virtually every writing task.As a pantser (someone who writes "from the seat of their pants" or with no plans) the new AI integration is awesome and a lot of fun to use.
7. Very easy to keep things organized into chapters and the pro features are worth paying for.
8. Once you've figured it all out though, it's got some of the best functionality out there.Love this app! So easy to transition between using on my phone, my chromebook, and my laptop.
9. The developer deserves some amazing props and this is (still) hands down the best mobile writing apps.Fantastic for no frills, distraction free writing.
10. Only things missing I think are being able to export an entire book to pdf and not just one chapter at a time and compiling them in a separate app.
11. My only issue, though, is that recently I cannot write consistently on here because the rate at which my text is shown after typing will slow down until I see nothing, despite me continuing to type.
