Then this week the updated has caused daily crashes, VERY slow loading, and rather than a list on news stories (recent) or headlines with thumbnails (previous) the image for the story takes up almost the entire screen on the front page so you have to scroll far just to see what news you have access to.

2. They have a huge user settings section of the app where I have turned off all sports notifications and yet still I'm bombarded with updates about the stars, cowboys, etc... They're lucky people need this app for spring weather in North Texas, otherwise I wouldn't waste the space on my phone.I love you app for the updated news and have recommended it to others for the "reasons to smile" section.

3. I don't want to see pictures, advertisements and WFAA Originals and other garbage when the app finally loads! Why can't an app load fast and actually have news easily viewable?App is normally great but about a week ago the weather portion stop displaying all digits...(if the forecast is "41°" on the bottom hourly section, it instead only shows the "4" on the top/current time's temp).

4. I prefer the other local news apps.after the last couple of updates, can no longer read stories, only headlines.

5. Also, there are WAY too many ads! I often go get the actual story somewhere else bc there's so many ads in this app it's insane and impossible to get the actual story sometimes.Maps and stories only display as headliners (if you will) and when I attempt to click the link to see the maps or read the story, they don't open.

6. No thank you.Lived in DFW for almost my entire life and WFAA has Always been my go to for all DFW news and weather.

7. Then, once the app actually loads, you have to scroll for days to find any news headlines.

8. This was my go to local news app but the new app takes too long to load with all its goofy start up screens.

9. I love WFAA with that, I do not like the app.The only useful feature this app has is real time weather alerts.

1. Fix WFAA Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart WFAA: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the WFAA App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WFAA" » Open WFAA - News from North Texas » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WFAA » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear WFAA - News from North Texas app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WFAA servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WFAA - News from North Texas" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check WFAA app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WFAA might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall WFAA. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WFAA then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WFAA not working

2. Fix WFAA Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WFAA be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WFAA not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WFAA may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
