1. Also, because of technical problems that DirecTV has failed to be able to fix for months, my phone won't connect to my DVR.Now every time I try to watch a show and the ads get done playing, it starts the show back from the beginning.
2. I would think that a company as large as AT&T could afford to invest in competent software developers and provide it's paying customers (especially those who have BOTH AT&T Wireless and DirecTV like me) with an app that just works!I have enjoyed the DirecTV app except for two things, 1.
3. It will however, play a few live channels but the ones that play are the ones I don't care to watch.
4. What makes it worse is if you're in the middle of a commercial sequence and accidentally tap it or reset phone signal and it exits the app, you have to go back in and guess what! RESTART THE ENTIRE SERIES OF COMMERCIALS.
5. Whenever I try to watch something, the screen just says "authorizing" and the show never even starts.
6. It's bad enough having to watch the ads but then trying to find where the show left off is annoying.
7. When trying to watch recorded programs I continuously get an error message 102 that tells me it cannot run it as the receiver is already in service.
8. It's just poorly designed and it seems like DirecTV doesn't care enough to fix it.App freezes up all the time.
9. When I watch Live TV with it it does not play a lot of channels.
10. In almost all cases of trying to watch on my mobile device, I get stuck on "Authorizing" and never get to the program.
11. Lost phone signal and want to reset it by using airplane mode? Go ahead! If you're willing to deal with the 4 minutes of commercials that follows.
