I then entered all the original information.Definitely could be better, there shouldn't be an option to change the digital watch face from the watch or add the option to toggle that off because literally every 30 seconds when I'm active it tries to change the watch face just from how I'm wearing it?! For what? U can change it from the app, no need to have that function so easily activated on the watch when it could be something useful!Today the app stopped sending data from my watch to my phone.

2. I keep getting a notification that says "HeroBandIII Keeps Stopping" and I have to put the app to sleep in my settings for the notification to stop.For an "inexpensive" fitness watch, this thing is quite impressive.

3. I forgot to check the app for several weeks only to discover that there is an entire month's data missing because it won't stay synched.I lost the App contact with my watch.

4. Only four stars because I don't need the sleep feature and I don't like the limited selection of watch faces.Band is ok.

5. However my particular watch doesn't allow me to answer calls, or reply to text messages.

6. The app doesn't stay in sync with the watch unless you check it often.

7. Last night, my watch seemed to reset itself (or maybe I did it, the watch is a bit too touchy when it comes to reset) but then I couldn't get it to connect with the app.

8. The information it allows you to track through your watch is great.

9. Now the time and date on the watch are off & in metric.

10. I reset the watch, uninstalled the app and started over.

11. I restarted my phone which didn't work; then I restarted the watch.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HerobandⅢ Issues

1. Fix HerobandⅢ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HerobandⅢ: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HerobandⅢ App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HerobandⅢ" » Open HerobandⅢ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HerobandⅢ » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HerobandⅢ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HerobandⅢ servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HerobandⅢ" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HerobandⅢ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HerobandⅢ might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HerobandⅢ. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HerobandⅢ then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HerobandⅢ not working


2. Fix HerobandⅢ Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HerobandⅢ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HerobandⅢ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HerobandⅢ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I downloaded the app for this smartwatch. I get a message that I have to set the phone state permissions on my device. I ha e tried several things but it won't let me past this screen to start using the app. Any suggestions?

  • I just received my watch and I am very unsatisfied. the steps and distance are not accurate. the device said I reached my goal of steps while sitting. then I moved my arms around and it went from 107 to 147 just by moving my arms. I am asking for a full replacement as this device is defective. Thank you!

  • I have purchased a heroband111 and scanned and downloaded the app from the watch however, the watch is not showing up when trying to pair with the phone even though the Bluetooth is on and no other watch option including P36 is showing up in the device option of the app. Kindly advise why is this and what can be done. I tried reinstalling the app and even restarting my phone and watch many times and the same issue I kept getting.

  • Hello,
    I have a watch that only uses the HerobandIII software and I only have 1 problem. After I change the watch face once through the app, it will not allow another. It always gets to 99% and times out. It has garbled a watch face on the watch is all. I rebooted the watch and that did not fix it. After reading reviews I saw a fix but I have to delete the app and reinstall it, then I can change the face one time through the app.

    Can you please update the software to fix this issue. I work in and have a degree in computers, so I do know what I am doing.

  • The watch connected once and then disconnected and now won’t reconnect and I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. I’ve checked for updates etc and nothing is working

  • my watch has stopped counting steps, how can i restart it. Also it is not accurately measuring my heartrate. Please let me know how i can fix these issues.

  • Had tracker since early February at first all ok now not counting steps. Software up to date & have tried re-setting & re-synchronised with app still not working. Seen other similar complaints on web, do you have a fix

    Your app is great. I bought the P22 smartwatch. I have the HeroBandIII app. There are 8 sports modes. Is it possible to add a free exercise mode or a fitness mode?
