Why should I report an Issue with Hide Something: photos, videos?

1. The easy hide unhide is exactly what I was looking for! Saves time for not having to export pics or files to a new folder each time, like other apps! One thing would be nice though, that each folder be blurred or a generic folder icon, when the app opens.It just moves your files to a folder called ".pg" with no other protection.

2. So now what happens to my pictures? Also when you have pictures on this app it tends to show the hidden pictures when you're selecting pictures to post on other apps.Do not waste your time with this app! I foolishly expected this app to work and did not back them up before using the app.

3. I selected "dark mode" in themes, but it doesn't work in settings!? More later, when I've used it a bit more.Great app except there's a couple weak points in the app and that is that you can still see hidden media in gallery sometimes when you boot up your phone.

4. It doesn't even change the file names and it takes 2 minutes to retrieve so called hidden files.

5. I reopen the hidden folder and the 2-3 of my photos are simply missing.

6. I've used the same photos in the same hidden folder and they're just gone.

7. The only thing they must work on is a video player in the app, so you can slide through all of them without needing to exit when you wanna watch anyone else.No reason to hate.

8. I've managed to hide only one of my folders.Perfect. No need to vault your photos in an app.

9. Just that, files you received from shareit can still be viewed via shareit, not 100% hidden.

10. Reinstalling the app cleared the cache but somehow it still shows that it has 4 photos and has blank placeholders in the UI.

11. These are major flaws that need to be fixed.Doesn't work on background.

1. Fix Hide Something Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Hide Something: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Hide Something App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Hide Something" » Open Hide Something: photos, videos » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Hide Something » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Hide Something: photos, videos app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Hide Something servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Hide Something: photos, videos" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Hide Something app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Hide Something might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Hide Something. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Hide Something then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Hide Something not working

2. Fix Hide Something Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Hide Something be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Hide Something not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Hide Something may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
