Poke Genie Customer Insights

1. Other than the add pop ups, which actually quite conveniently don't cover much of the screen at all this is a great app and I would totally recommend you give it a try.I am rating 3 stars because the overlay randomly crashes on my Galaxy S9+ and prevents any screen input (home, back, etc.) from registering.

2. When it works, it's great! When it works, I can scan in my pokemon, rename to track stats, run a battle simulator to find the best team, and more... when it works.

3. Hopefully an update is released that fixes this problem in its entirely, as I've seen other reviews with the exact same issues.Great improvement to quality of life since the ability to join remote raid lobbies.

4. Would be nice to remote raid without remote passes though, would have been great during the year long lockdown, but that's Niantic refusal to help players.Very easy to check IV.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Poke Genie Issues

1. Fix Poke Genie Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Poke Genie: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Poke Genie App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Poke Genie" » Open Poke Genie -Remote Raid IV PvP » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Poke Genie » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Poke Genie -Remote Raid IV PvP app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Poke Genie servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Poke Genie -Remote Raid IV PvP" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Poke Genie app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Poke Genie might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Poke Genie. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Poke Genie then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Poke Genie not working


2. Fix Poke Genie Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Poke Genie be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Poke Genie not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Poke Genie may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hey I have been using poke genie for a few years now. I used a school Gmail to create my account the problem is after I moved away from that school the Gmail account was blocked meaning I can't use it to log into anything or in other words deleted the Gmail was l.rodriguezve@redacted
    I was just wondering if there was a way to change the email so I don't lose my progress. Just for added information the account was liked to my pokemon account called 59hwwh59 which was level 41. On poke genie I did 422 remote raids and hosted 24 last time I checked if you Need any more proof let me know thank you

  • I keep getting a restriction due to the host letting me time out , I get to raid anyway because the host usually sends an invite but that is after the damage is done! Pike gene should be able to tell that the host didn’t send the raid invite and that I am waiting if timed out I should be able to get back in the quere. This sucks and needs to be fixed immediately , it happened the last 3 days now I’m afraid to raid. Ridiculous. This shouldn’t be the case. I am paying $27 a month for this.

  • I keep getting restricted from raiding even I’m doing what I’m supposed to , if the host doesn’t add me or I don’t get the invite I get penalized, please lift the restriction. I will practice on lower tier just to make sure I’m not messing up a tier 4. There is a raid in 5 hrs I would like to be a part of, I’m doing what I’m supposed to do but didn’t get the invite then got restricted for timing out. Please restore my account

  • Hi I have got a host debuff probably because of raids not being completed but it isn’t even my fault most of the times the remote raiders don’t join the raid due to which I have to cancel the raid because at that point there is no other option, sometimes I don’t click the friend request sent button but simply because I am on ios and pogo freezes if I switch apps and that just isn’t my fault I haven’t done a single raid from the lati because of this debuff I contacted support before but after 1 week still no reply

  • I have done raids via remote raid passes with you. I have dont the raid yet you time me out and put me in bands. Last raid i did through pokegenie i completed yet you still time me out even tho i was in raid lobby. Please fix

  • Hi there,

    It seems that I'm no longer able to see Landorus raids. I have successfully hosted multiple raids with the app now, and joined other raids, but Landorus raids seem to no long be available.

    Please advise.
