1. One of my nodes has been disconnected, I unplugged its power, yet it's "connected with excellent strength ", even without power!! That's amazing!! Switching your master node should be as simple as directly connecting it to the old master node and selecting to switch it to new master, yet you have to reset and redo networkEven after factory resetting everything, it will only work for a month or 2 before the app won't connect anymore.

2. Some may not like it, but it works well for me when I get messaged by the spouse that the wifi isn't working and I can login and tell the router to reboot.

3. Hope you see the light.How is this available for use? Only when I really need router access does the app have no idea that a router even exists and requests that I go though the setup process, AGAIN!!! I've lost count how many times this has happened.

4. Also, I can't delete devices when they are online, which is a huge feature that is missed.App functionality should match PC browser version.

5. I tell it to delete a bunch of offline "network devices" and when it is done about half are still there.

6. I use this router for a vacation rental so I am often changing the guest network password.

7. It's much slower than the PC browser, showing devices as not connected when I reboot while PC page shows connected.

8. My router is a few weeks old, so no Firmware update has been needed I used to have a router and app from a major competitor.

9. Login is to their online services, not directly to the router anymore.

10. It showed all devices on my network, gave me ability to rename them, even displayed a network map.

11. Also, the feature that pushes devices to the node w/ strongest signal doesn't work either and never has.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Linksys Issues

1. Fix Linksys Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Linksys: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Linksys App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Linksys" » Open Linksys » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Linksys » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Linksys app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Linksys servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Linksys" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Linksys app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Linksys might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Linksys. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Linksys then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Linksys not working


2. Fix Linksys Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Linksys be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Linksys not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Linksys may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
