10. Let's cook up something extraordinary together!
1. When cooking, sometimes the app won't let me go to the next step, which has been happening more frequently.Took me a while to initially connect to the cooker over Bluetooth -- or, rather, for the app to see that the cooker is connected (after entering PIN both the cooker and the phone shows it is connected, but the app fails to see it).
2. I will post bugs and requests as I come across things and as they get addressed one by one.The biggest issue is that if you have multiple probes, there's no way to turn them off, so you end up having to charge the two spare probes in the case because they just stay active endlessly without a way to disable them.
3. Takes a bit longer to actually get to cooking compared to a digital thermometer, but who cares about a few seconds? However, the latest version of the app is unusable! A window continuously flashes at the top of the screen and prevents you from starting a cook.
4. Another issue I had was I forgot to add the sauce and there was no pause button to add something in the middle of a recipe.
5. That way, the app asks a permission to turn on Bluetooth, and I guess granting that permission fixes the issue I was having.
6. User can calculate elapse timeThe chef Iq is fantastic! The diversity of food has taught me many new things and expanned my pallet, but there are glaring software problems.
7. You almost need 3 people during a recipe just to hold down the button, hold the pot, then one person to open the lid.
8. Getting the phone to connect or software to update initially took a few hours because it would say it failed to connect and later failed to download.
9. I needed to reposition a probe mid cooking and the app would not return to a pre-notice screen.
10. Seemed to be a Bluetooth issue which has been solved.Kind of frustrating.
11. Setup requires you to connect the app and unit, which seems a little silly, as i feel like it should be an optional featuer not a full requirementfor use.
