1. I bought the full app, and it was definitely worth it! I highly recommend this app to anyone learning how to read sheet music or wanting to improve their musical abilities!!After three times practicing level 1, G and C, all the way to #F, basically, three days in a row, for about two hours each time, I was able to read these notes on the music staff of a song that had no note names marked on them.
2. Highly recommended for anyone remotely curious in music.I started learning notes about a week ago and have been progressing quickly!! It's an easy app, and it helps you learn to practice and recognize the proper notes.
3. This one has all the makings of being a fantastic companion to it, but I can't quite use it with my beginning students as effectively because the order they teach the notes in classic mode is not at all similar to the order they are learning them in their piano method books.
4. I started to learn to read sheet music the slow way by hunting, pecking and even writing the notes on the sheet music.
5. Since sliding or zooming isn't an option, the app counts those as missed notes (and 3 of those means you lose).I've struggled to read music for years.
6. The root cause is because at the same time I'm trying to read the music I'm also trying to remember which string or which key I need to play.
7. I've tried working through lesson books and all kinds of cheaper alternatives, but my reading ability has never improved at all for the amount of time I put into it.
8. I'd *love* to see chords added (or a new app with chords), but that omission doesn't diminish the usefulness, as-is.As a broke college student that can't afford lessons or services like "Playground Sessions" (which seems to be the best reading-oriented piano program), this app is a miracle.
9. Even if you're only interested in treble/bass clefs, this app is well worth the cost, and the ability to plug in a midi controller makes it a must-have for anyone (beginner or intermediate) who wants to strengthen their sight reading speed.
10. With that said, I am grateful that I can now focus/practice on just reading the notes/sheet music without having to shift my attention.
11. It might be geared toward general music, but since it uses piano keyboard for input, it seems natural to gear it toward pianists.
