1. Turn on Mobile Data after restarting phone and you will then see the carrier has been switched without having to "unlock" using an app.I paid for my phone with cash, in full! The AT&T franchise representative in Everett,Washington stated my device was unlocked! He sold me a used device, the phone is locked and even though I purchased the device in full I still had to keep my AT&T service for 6 mos.
2. However I strongly feel that att manufacturally installs stupid,pointless apps,doesn't work, already has the same exact settings in the manufacturing settings like the smart AT&t Wi-Fi what's the point when I have a Wi-Fi button manufacturing on my phone?? don't need.
3. For anyone who has issues with switching carriers: turn WiFi and Mobile Data OFF, do a simple network settings reset (not a factory reset), turn phone off, insert new SIM card from new carrier and fire it up.
4. Thought my phone was just old and cranky until I was checking on my google play apps and saw that this was "updated" 2 days ago (the same time the trouble started)I tried many times to unlock my phone through the app.
5. The app works perfectly on my phone...however please be aware that you will need to know everything about APN settings, mms settings, and everything else due to the fact that the customer services representatives for this company know absolutely nothing about a hole in their shoe.
6. Garbage app from a garbage company.Tech support says my phone is eligible to unlock.
7. AT&T advertises "bring your own phone, Any phone" but fail to twll you they have several that arent on their network list.
8. After almost TWO YEARS and multiple calls to tech support my phone STILL ISN'T UNLOCKED.
9. After having AT&T service for almost 20 years I think I'm going to switch.The app just crashes on every open.
10. Hope I can unlock to go to another providerDoesnt work on any phone i have.
11. Adjust APN settings to your new provider/carrier, save, and restart phone once again.
