1. By that I mean that either it should be stopping those apps on the first go, OR it is simply showing that the true nature of my phone is that any cleaning app can't really get everything in a single pass and Droid Optimizer allows you to keep doing the process until the phone is actually clean.
2. There are 2 things it claims to do that are brilliant and I can't find in other cleaner apps... it stops selected apps from launching at startup and it has a whitelist to allow apps to not be stopped when you clean the phone with Optimizer.
3. Another thing I see is that if I run Droid Optimizer until it says "All cache cleaned", and then run my CCleaner app (which uses a different, slower and more visual way of cleaning app caches), CCleaner still finds and cleans a lot more caches all the while showing which apps have caches needing to be cleaned.
4. Droid Optimizer fits the bill! It's easy to use, and it has one unique function unlike the other apps I had tried: auto clean.
5. I was looking for a simple cleaner that wouldn't cause more problems by using graphics to animate what's happening (like certain other apps do) and would actually make a noticeable difference in the smoothness of my phone operation.
6. BTW, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra on the Verizon network.Like some other reviews stated, I was using Clean Master and it got to the point to where you were just bombarded with ads with every thing you did...and after testing it out after an update, my device ran slower with it on my phone.
7. Once you get it setup correctly and the auto clean scheduled it works great!Love this cleaner! I've been with Clean Master for years and was always satisfied with there service.
8. For instance, when I do 1-Touch Speed Up and then do it again, then again, etc., it keeps showing more apps that haven't been stopped (and are NOT on my Whitelist).
9. Well done!" message, I wait until I get three more of those in a row because sometimes even after it says "all clean" I still get more apps not stopped.
10. The same holds true when I use the Clean Up button and then the "Stop background apps" button.
11. My original review was incorrect because I confused it with another phone optimizer app I've been using for years.
