1. Also, when I get a notification that the doorbell has recorded movement (without the doorbell being pushed) and I attempt to look at it, I usually get the unending "circle if hope".We use the Qolsys Touch Panel and Android OS as our devices when using the remote feature.

2. HOWEVER, I am using an Android phone and I can't get the program on the SECURITY SYSTEM SETTINGS page to go "live" on any of the features.

3. Getting the cameras set back up takes way too long when I could have just cut to the chase as I knew what the problem was.Outrageous! I initially enjoyed having Frontline in my home for the first few years we had them.. When they updated the home panel 2 years ago everything changed.

4. This means I can't control ANY of the volume, lights, Night Hours, or even access to the Panel Wi-Fi!!!!! All of the changes have to be made through a phone call.

5. I do like all the options but I would like a better garage door sensor because the door opens too muThe app contols the arming and disarming options of the hub but the volume and LED brightness controls don't work on my phone.

6. Keep in mind that I am not making any changes to the system or cameras in between the times when they do and don't work.

7. I have multiple indoor FrontPoint cameras attached to my system and the audio very rarely works on any of them.

8. I would bet most problems on this platform stem from users using the new hub system they came out with.

9. Jan 2023, STILL can not update the schedule for lights on either system anymore without having to log on from a browser.

10. After some reading online, this is apparently a very common problem.The ability to see facial features when the doorbell is pressed is almost zero.

11. Can't even control them from the desktop!!!The 2-way audio and video features are terrible in this mobile app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Frontpoint Issues

1. Fix Frontpoint Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Frontpoint: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Frontpoint App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Frontpoint" » Open Frontpoint » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Frontpoint » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Frontpoint app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Frontpoint servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Frontpoint" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Frontpoint app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Frontpoint might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Frontpoint. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Frontpoint then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Frontpoint not working


2. Fix Frontpoint Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Frontpoint be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Frontpoint not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Frontpoint may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
