1. Also when YouTube is minimized to the small screen so I can listen to music or videos while doing other stuff on my phone the app doesn't work you have to make it full screen to skip the ads. This detects ads and will put a 6 second timer to skip the ad.
2. You only have to open the app once and never touch it again, it will forever skip video adds.To clarify to anyone that might be reading reviews, this app does not block ads altogether.
3. One problem is that you might have to keep the app open in the background, but on my device (Google Pixel 3) you don't.Works fine but when opening the app it asks you to enable it in your accesablity settings here is where it gets sketchy.
4. I'm not sure if all phones will do this but when I try to enable it my phone gives me a warning that says: "Skip Ads can collect all of the text you type excluding passwords.
5. In any case, it is great! It watches the ads and when the 5 secs are up, it pushes the skip add button and presto your stream goes on.
6. The free version just presses the skip button and the pro version mutes and skips the ad.
7. If you're on YouTube, and you get on of those ads that have the "skip ad" button, this app will press that button for you.
8. Also due to people looking for a true ad block, there currently isn't a version on the YouTube app (rooted or not) that works.
9. Excessive ads are disruptive when trying to sleep because they can last more than 10 minutes and just as I'm nodding off, I have to wake up and wait 5 seconds to skip the ad.
10. Skip Ads has worked 100% of the time and has really improved the quality of my listening experience.
11. It can also collect data about your interactions with the phone." so what's up with that nonsense hm? Agooday can you explain please?Does exactly what it says it does.
